Join with a small group of friends at Denim Darling Hat Co. studio in Madeira for an evening of custom hat design and great company. Your host — you know, the friend who always has it together — can coordinate a date and time, while Jess guides each guest through the design process from start to finish, giving every person her full attention and expertise.

Want the full Denim Darling experience at your own venue? Jess brings everything — the hats, the embellishment station, the expertise — straight to you. Your host — the friend providing the venue — provides the space and any food and drinks for her guests. Jess handles everything hat-related.

Currently serving Greater Cincinnati including Madeira, Indian Hill, Montgomery, Hyde Park, and surrounding areas. A flat travel fee of $200 applies for events outside the studio.
The Hat Making Experience
Every guest follows the same creative journey — guided by Jess every step of the way:
- Choose your hat — select your style from wool or straw options including rancher, cattleman, panama, and more
- Find your perfect fit — Jess adjusts sizing so it feels just right
- Select your foundation band — printed fabric, solid satin, denim, or metallic
- Layer your details — beaded bands, knotted bands, metal chains
- Finish with charms and hat pins — the details that make it completely yours
- Take it home — your one-of-a-kind hat is ready to wear

Pricing & Availability
Hat making parties start at $200 per person for a custom straw hat, or $325 per person for a custom wool hat, for groups of 4–8 guests. A $200 deposit secures your date, with the remaining balance due the day of your event.

How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 4 weeks in advance, especially for weekend dates. Popular times fill quickly — reach out early to secure your preferred date.
How many guests can attend?
Events are designed for a minimum of 4 guests and a maximum of 8. This ensures every guest receives Jess's full attention and a premium, unhurried experience.
How long does the event take?
Plan for approximately 30 minutes per guest. A group of 6 guests typically enjoys a beautifully paced 3-hour evening.
What should guests wear?
Anything you love — this is a girls' night, not a dress code. We do suggest avoiding very tall hairstyles or updos so hats can be tried on comfortably.
Do guests need any experience?
Not at all — Jess guides every guest through every step. No crafting experience required, just a great attitude and an open mind.
Who handles food and drinks?
For studio events, drinks and light bites are available as an add-on. For travel events at your location, the host provides food and drinks for her guests — Jess handles everything hat-related.
Is there a deposit required?
Yes — a deposit is required to secure your date. Details will be provided at time of booking confirmation.
